Ward Elmer Torrance

Ward Elmer Torrance, age 84, of Granite Falls, passed away, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Carolinas Healthcare- Blue Ridge Valdese.He was born October 2, 1934 in Kyrock, KY to the late Louis and Annie Farris Torrance.He is preceded in death by wife Norma Louise Torrance. Survivors include his wife Martha Kay Torrance of the home; daughters-Becky Yount, Pat Ward, Diane Hamby, and son Mike Barber, also Angel and Buster Torrance, step-son Darrin Harwell, two sisters, Kay and Sue of Kentucky; numerous grandkids and great grandkids and extended family members. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 4 pm at New Covenant Church of God by Pastor Dennis Pitts.The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
