Wanda Sue Greene

Hickory – Wanda Sue Greene, 71, of Hickory passed away on February 7, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Sue was born on March 30, 1947 in Iredell County to the late Hobert and Minnie Pope Martin. Sue was married 35 years to Paul Greene. Sue loved camping and traveling and being with friends. Sue loved her church Tabernacle Baptist Church of Hickory. In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by her sons: Mark and Matthew Hoover and their father Steve Hoover. Sue is, also, survived by her sister Jo Ann (Coma) Gant and husband Gail. She is survived by a granddaughter, Patricia Hoover and two grandsons: Tyler Hamlin and Luke Hoover. Sue leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Aurora Hamlin. Sue is survived by step-children, nephews, numerous family members, and friends. There will be a service to honor Sue’s life held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Evans Funeral Chapel at 12:00 pm; officiated by Pastor Scott Hooks.
