Wanda Chester

Lenoir – Wanda Jean Chester, age 65, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born in Burke County on February 22, 1956 to the late Thomas and Ruth Clark. She was married to Steve Chester of the residence for 45 years. Wanda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who worked tirelessly caring for her family and community around her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, William Bentley. Other than her husband, Wanda is survived by her children, John Pritchard and wife, Jennifer; Amanda West and Chad Reichard; Wesley Chester and wife, Katy; brothers, William Clark and Calvin Clark; sisters, Sharon Fleming and Marsha Gragg; grandchildren, Taylor Dale; Elijah Pritchard; Landrey Pritchard; Dylan West; Ivy Lail; Laney Singleton; Kaylee West; Zoey Lail; Keyli Chester; Embri Chester; Willow Chester; and Kash Chester; and great-grandson, Lane West. A memorial service celebrating Wanda’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Steve Parker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn.
