Walter Standifer Richie

Walter Richie Hudson – Walter Standifer Richie, age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Hamilton County, TN on December 8, 1934 to the late Walter E. Richie and Sarah Jane Hudson. He was married to Ellen Stewart Richie for more than 49 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters and great-grandson Lucas Lowman. Other than his wife he is survived by his children, Pam Walsh and husband, Gary; Michael Richie of Myrtle Beach, SC; Robert Richie; Randy Richie and wife, Jessica of Murphy, NC; and Perry Richie and wife, Bonnie; brother, Tony Richie; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at East Flat Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Billy Mitchell officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
