Walter Harold Deal

Harold Deal Lenoir, NC- Mr. Walter Harold Deal, age 77, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice. Mr. Deal was born in Catawba County on April 23, 1935 to the late Walter Harold Deal and Nell Campbell Deal. He was married to Rachel Hefner Deal for 60 years. Mr. Deal worked for Advance Auto in Roanoke, VA for 18 years, and then moved to Lenoir where he owned and operated Deal's Home and Auto. He later resumed his career with Advance Auto in Lenoir where he retired. He most recently worked part-time for Auto Zone. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bud Deal. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Cynthia Faw; Rick Deal and wife, Jean; Leigh Ann Prestwood and husband, Bobby; brothers, Raeford Deal and George Deal; grandchildren, Scott, Andy, and Matt Faw, Natalie Deal;Madison, Malea, and Easton Prestwood; and great-grandchildren, Austin Faw and Addi Faw. A memorial service for Mr. Deal will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3:00 with Reverend Steve Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
