Wade Davis

Hudson, NC- Mr. Wade ?Pops? Davis, age 74, formerly of Marion, NC, died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at his home. Born September 14, 1934 in Hensley, West Virginia, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Clarence and Lydia Crane Davis and the husband of the late Joyce Davis. He was a very proud father and Grandpaw. He loved spoiling his grandchildren and loved to fish. He was a retired self-employed roofer. Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret White. He is survived by three sons, Chip Davis and life-partner Bobby Barnes of Asheville; Michael Davis and wife Terra of Hudson; Robert Davis and wife Misty of Asheville; two sisters, Jackie Wilson of Candler, Marie Meadows of Asheville; one brother, Dwight Davis of Candler; 3 granddaughters, Jordan, Dessy and Kira Davis and one grandson, Josh Davis. A celebration of Mr. Davis? life will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Marion, NC with Reverend Michael Zullo officiating.
