Vivian Grant Kornegay

Lenoir, NC- Vivian Grant Kornegay, age 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at her home. Born January 25, 1954 in Burke County, Vivian was a daughter of the late Verlis James and Virginia Watts Grant. Vivian was of the Christian faith and a homemaker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving son, Grant, whom Vivian cared for extensively. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Grant. Surviving are her two loving daughters, Darlene Branson and husband Ronnie of Pikeville; Betsy Kornegay of Seven Springs; one sister, Debra Corley and husband Greg of Hudson; one brother, James Grant and wife Cathy of Hickory and 10 Grandchildren who were the joys of Vivian?s heart. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service celebrating Vivian?s life will be held in the Evergreen Memorial Park in Goldsboro, NC with Reverend Kevin Matheson officiating.
