Virginia Dare Woodruff

Ms. Virginia Dare Woodruff, age 79, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. Virginia was born September 8, 1941 to the late Charles and Omie Woodruff.She enjoyed her retirement and loved being home and enjoying her furry companion, Daisy.She was a loving, protective mother and friend.Virginia was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Virginia is preceded in death by her son, Charles K. Woodruff, four brothers, Robert C. Woodruff, Charles Odell Woodruff, Haywood Woodruff, James E. Woodruff, and Clifford W. Woodruff. Virginia is survived by her furry companion, Daisy, daughter, Virginia Faye Smithey (David A. Smithey). Virginia is survived by her last living sibiling, Velma Philyaw. She is survived by her grandchildren Kenneth Z. Woodruff (Annie Woodruff), Kensey M. Smithey, and Presley N. Smithey, Felicity D. Smithey, Zachary D. Smithey, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Evans Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Woodruff family.
