Virginia Mullis

Virginia B. Mullis, 96, of Lenoir, NC, died May 23, 2022, at Robbins Center hospice in Hudson, NC.

Virginia was born in Haywood County North Carolina to the late John and Marie Broyhill.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Mullis, son, John Mullis and second husband, Claude Armfield.

Virginia is survived by a stepson, Thad “Mac” Mullis (Mary), and children, Leon Mullis (Jeanne) and Maria Mullis. Stepchildren are Janice Armfield Willenborg (Paul (deceased)), Claude “Duff” Armfield (Camilla) and Phillip Armfield (Alma).

Grandchildren are Jan Cooper (Chip), John Mullis (Lucy) and Ginny Mullis; Thad Mullis, III (Ruby), Myra Lynn McCurry (Tim) and Martin Mullis (Patricia); Diedre Antigo (Gary) and Russell Mullis (Terra); and Michael Burris (Kirsten).

Great grandchildren are Justin, Cristopher, and Lauren Cooper; Mitchell and Madeline McCurry; Spencer and Bella Antigo, Aeva and Quinn Mullis; Maya Williams; and Brennan and Alena Burris.

A celebration of life will be held later.
