Virginia (Irene) Fox Hatton

Virginia (Irene) Fox Hatton, age 90, of Boomer, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Trinity Ridge of Hickory.  She was born January 10, 1933 in Caldwell County to the late William Roby Fox and Carrie Johnson Fox.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Ray Hatton; son, Richard (Rick) Kevin Hatton; daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Hatton Keller; brothers, Clarence Fox, Oscar Fox, Ray Fox, Bob Fox, Carol Fox and Glenn (Bud) Fox; sisters, Helen Johnson Clark and Verna Fox.

Survivors include two sisters, Brenda Daniels and Trudi Vecchonie; two granddaughters, Jessica Hatton Watson and husband Brian and Lindsay Hatton; one great-grandson, Zachary (Zack) Hatton; two great-granddaughters, Abby Watson and Mollie Watson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hatton; special niece, Theresa Allen; numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene was the longest and oldest member of Livingston Memorial Baptist Church which she loved dearly.  She was a faithful prayer warrior and loved spending time with her family which she loved more than life itself.  She loved baking for family, church family and neighbors and was known for the best pound cake baker in the community.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Evans Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Reverend Brian Auton.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Livingston Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Zack Hatton, Brian Watson, Stephen Watson, Shannon Hatton, Mitch Foust, and Lewis Foust.
