A beautiful and happy soul. She loved everyone in the way God loves everyone. “I hate this blindness, but I’ll be alright.”
Virginia “Ginny” Elizabeth Huntley, 59, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Ginny was born on January 16, 1965, to the late Basil and Frances “Smokey” Huntley.
Those left to cherish Ginny’s memory are her sisters; Donna Nero, Lisa Flechsig; brother, Steve Huntley; nieces, Michelle Choe (Tommy), Kathryn Lutz, Kacy Huntley (Clint Kelly), Kellan Huntley; nephews, Joshua Lutz (Sherri), Huntley Nero (Abby), Cole Nero and other relatives.
Ginny enjoyed shopping, eating out, going for rides, and visiting with her best friends. She just loved people. Her love for others shined so bright in this world, especially for the following honorary pallbearers, Becky Adderholdt, Kathy Mcateer, Peg Broyhill, Debbie Pennell, Lavonda, Ann Walters, Donna Crisp, Susan Floyd, Shirley Fouchee, Donna Palles, Dennis Crisp, Rocky Brooks, Martha Wilson, Joyce Lawing, Peg Ellis and so many others.
A huge “Thank You” to Caldwell Opportunities, Skilled Creations, Davidson Home Services, Megan at Vaya Health Services, and caretaker, Ken Hogan.
A service to celebrate Ginny’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 11:30 AM with Michelle Choe speaking. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lower Creek Baptist Church in Lenoir, in memory of Ginny.
