Virginia Coffey

Mrs. Virginia Ann Eggers Coffey, age 79, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Hickory. Born July 18, 1939 in Watauga County, Virginia was a daughter of the late Orvile Eugene and Ida Bryant Eggers. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Odus Coffey; three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Leona Wesley of Biloxi, Mississippi; a sister, Coma Crump (husband John) of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Nichole and Natalie Wesley of Biloxi, Mississippi; a special niece, Barbara Stone of Granite Falls, NC; she is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5 pm until 7 pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Chaplain David Kent officiating.
