Virginia Marlene Clark

September 28, 1959 — August 18, 2024

Sunday, August 18, 2024, Virginia Marlene Clark, born September 28th 1959, woke up in Heaven reunited with her sweet mom, who she adored, and her dear friend Lisa, who she has missed dearly, along with all of her other family and friends that she has longed for.

She was a devoted mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was employed by Broyhill Harper Furniture for many, many years.

Her daughter Heather and boyfriend Nate of CA, her grandson’s Brandon of Lenoir and Camryn and Girlfriend Gabby of Charlotte. Additional grandson Tayler Kunkel of Virginia. If you knew Marlene at all then you knew they were her world, and she was theirs.

Her daughter Monica and husband Brad miller and children Michael, Megan and Maddi.

Her granddaughters Tammy Page and Husband Jerome Page, Children, Kayden Chisolm, Elyse Chisolm, Kennedy Hickman, Rayni Page, Charlotte Teague & Husband Wesley Teague, children McKynlee Herman, McKaya Herman and Samantha Herman and her daughter Annastyn Herman. She loved all unconditionally. She also had her ride or die, partner in crime, best friend and cousin Patricia Ellis.  She also had several ladies who she considered her own, Dusty and Jerome Childs and son Kingston, Marianne Forte, Paula Oxendine and sons Autry and Carson, and Erika Huffman and daughters Destiny and Grace.

She enjoyed family dinners and of course the holidays and any reason to be in the kitchen cooking something. Some would say cooking was her “love language” and when she wasn’t doing that you would find her outside enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. She will be missed by many and her memory will be cherished always.

The family will be having a celebration of life Saturday the 24th @ 630 PM @ Gamewell park in Gamewell NC. We are wearing purple in memory of her!

Evans Funeral Service is honored to serve the Clark family.
