Lenoir, NC- Virginia ?Gin? Carlton, age 90, of Lenoir, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, January 29, 2010 in the Lenoir Health Care Center. Born June 10, 1919 in York, SC she was a daughter of the late Harley Andrew and Wilma McDaniel Carlton. Ms. Carlton was a member of Shiloh Church where she had taught Sunday school. She will be long remembered as a child care provider for family and friends and others in the neighborhood. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Thomas Carlton and Harley ?H.J.? Andrew Carlton, Jr. and one niece, Martha Virginia Carlton. She is survived by one sister, Louise Beach and husband Daniel of Lenoir; one sister-in-law, Foybell Carlton of Lenoir; nieces and nephews, Sylvia, Debra, Theresa, Geraldine, Tommy, Jimmy, Connie, Travis, Shelia, Pam, Lindsay, Regina, Jeff, Brenda, Colin, Russell, Dean, Karen, Doug and Randy and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Ms. Carlton?s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2010 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Jim Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory.
