Victor Wingate

Mr. Victor Robert Wingate, age 69, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born May 9, 1948 in Caldwell County, Victor was a son of the late E.L. and Inis Wilson Wingate.Victor was a long distance truck driver and loved his job.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ben Wingate. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carol Amos Wingate; two sons, Luke Wingate (wife Lisa) of Hildebran, and Matt Wingate (wife Christina) of Indian Trail; two daughters, Robyn Hoover (husband Chris) of Lake Wylie, SC and Stacy Wingate of Winston-Salem; a sister, Vivian W. Croft (husband Jim) of Glen Alpine; two brothers, Douglas Wingate of San Antonia, TX and Jack Wingate (wife Jane) of Phoenix AL; his grandchildren, Carter Wingate, Gabby Wingate, Connor Wingate, Marshall Wingate, Madison Hoover and Wyatt Hoover; his beloved fur babies, Max, Lucky, Molly and Scrapper; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.
