Vicky Holt Deal

Vicky Deal Sawmills – Vicky Holt Deal, age 66, passed away on April 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Catawba County on October 26, 1947 to the late Tim and Pauline Brinkley Holt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Ray Deal; daughter, Chaney Story; sister, Robin Prestwood; and step-daughter April Carey Cooper; and one step-grandchild. Mrs. Deal was retired from Shuford Mills in Hudson and she was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by son, Keith Holt of Granite Falls; daughter, Tracy Manual and husband, Billy of Granite Falls; sister, Linda Lyda of Granite Falls. She is also survived by two step-sons, Dan Deal and wife Martha of Sawmills; Jake Deal of Sawmills; two step-daughters, Mary Williams and husband, Danny of Bethlehem; and Christina Eyler and husband David of Ohio; 15 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Deal will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Glenn Walker officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
