Vernon Alan Crowe

Vernon Alan Crowe, age 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited with his Mom and Dad on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born in Caldwell County on May 1, 1962 to the late Ted and Brenda Crowe. Alan was a true embodiment of pure innocence, and was loved dearly by anyone he came into contact with. Throughout the years Alan could be found running errands with his mother or father, working alongside family at Crowe’s Superette, or in attendance at Hartland Baptist Church where he enjoyed directing the choir to stand for worship. When at home Alan enjoyed doing 3 of his favorite things: watching shows such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Price is Right and Jeopardy!, listening to Johnny Cash; whom he had the opportunity to meet at a Billy Graham crusade in Charlotte, NC, or playing with his cards. Alan also loved good food and always had a cold Sundrop within reach. Alan is survived by his sisters, Karen C. Huffman and husband, Randy; Kathy C. Kent and husband, Bill; nephews, Blake Lee Greene; William F. Kent, III and wife, Brianna; nieces, Jessica Cascio and husband, Adam; Kathryn Reid and husband, Justin; Kaylen Kent; Emily Greene; Grace Huffman; Kamryn Greene; and aunts, Justine Hollars; Shelby Buchanan; and Sandra Hilton and husband, Jim. A memorial service celebrating Alan’s life will be held at Hartland Baptist Church on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Todd Smith and Pastor Steve Parker officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
