Verlon Anderson

Lenoir – Verlon Anderson, Jr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Rose Glen Manor in North Wilkesboro. He was born in Macon County on April 6, 1939 to the late Verlon Anderson, Sr. and Edna Mae Anderson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Lenoir Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 40 years, Mary Anderson; daughter, Terecia Anderson and brother, Charles Anderson. Verlon is survived by his daughter, Cristy Abel and husband, Michael; four grandchildren, Brittany Oxford; Drew, Lindsay and Leah Abel; and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Wait officiating.
