Vance "Gene" Eugene Bryson

Vance Eugene “Gene” Bryson Gene Bryson, 88, of Colletsville, NC passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was born on July 31, 1935 to the late Reuben and Gertrude Bryson. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his brother; Johnny Black Bryson, sisters; Iris Nell and Nancy Bryson Suddreth. Those left to cherish Gene’s memory are his wife of 58 years, Frances Bryson; daughter, Gina Wright (Keith); his brothers; Jack Bryson (Linda), Fred Bryson (Paula), and several nieces and nephews. Gene was retired military of the Navy “Seabees” after 21 years of service. He was retired manager of Ryder Truck Rental of 17 years. He loved hunting, fishing, farming and his tractors. He was a member of Miller Hill Baptist Church. There will be a graveside service, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Steve Parker officiating The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Amorem Hospice.
