Tyrone "Ty" Schmid

Mr. Tyrone “Ty” Christian Schmid, age 45, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Born February 20, 1977 in Carson City, Nevada, Ty was the son of Monika Shook and Jack Schmid.  Ty was Catholic by faith.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially being out in the country.  He loved animals, especially his three dogs, Ziggy, Baby Girl and Violet.

He is also survived by his step father, Gene Shook; two sisters, Adaline Schmid and Holly Greer; two brothers, Christopher Shook and Scott Shook; two aunts, Connie Rabidau and Martha Altmann; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Ty’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Daniel McGee officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
