Truman Woody

Mr. Truman Steve Woody, age 91, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home. Born May 28, 1928 in Macon county, Truman was a son of the late John and Mae Woodie.He was Baptist by faith. He worked over 54 years at Bernhardt Furniture.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Pearlen Woody and numerous relatives. He is survived by his children, Gary Woody (wife Shirley), Clifford Woodie (wife Betty), Robert Woody, Morris “Marty” Woody (wife Karla) and Randy Woody; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A graveside celebration of Truman’s life will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Ellis Cemetery with Pastor Dewey Bristol officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Woodie, Taylor Woody, Tracy Woody, Todd Woody, Tryon Haas and Kurt Woody.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randall Woody and Jonathan Woody. Evans Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Woody Family.
