Travis Walker

Granite Falls, NC- Travis Shelton Walker, age 62 of Granite Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at his home.Born February 24, 1952 in Caldwell County, Mr. Walker was a son of the late William Howard and Colean Hartley Walker and the husband of Sonja C. Walker of the home. Mr. Walker attended Grace Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver and had driven for Foothills and Caldwell Freight.He enjoyed fishing and working in his plants and flowers. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Walker and a sister, Patsy Warlick. Surviving other than his wife are 2 sons, Daniel James Walker and wife Alisha of Happy Valley; David William Walker and wife Brandi of Lenoir; 1 daughter, Deborah Kay Walker and fiancé Josh Richards of Baton; one sister, Shirley Price and one brother, Thomas Walker, both of Lenoir and 6 Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Madilyn, Mikayla and Aaron Walker and Xander Richards. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ronnie Watson officiating.
