Travis Joseph Tolbert

December 12, 2008 — October 29, 2023

Travis Joseph Tolbert, Trav Trav, Little Man, Slick, Travi Malavi, 14, of Lenoir, passed away on October 29, 2023, from an accident at home.

He was a boy with the dreams of a man.  He was an intelligent and kindhearted boy who has touched the lives of so many from his family to his classmates to his friends.  He had dreams of becoming a pilot in the Air Force.  He will be remembered for his bright personality and loving heart.  Those who know him know he had a quick wit and would never turn down a good debate, he was always more than willing to weigh both sides of a discussion.  He loved his family and cared deeply for every one of them.  His Mamaw held a very special place in his heart, it never failed that he would walk her to the car and say I love you, or have coffee with her in the mornings.  He wanted to have five girls after he got married.  He was going to name his first-born Evelyn after his mamaw.  He always did know how to make a person feel noticed.

Travis was predeceased by Kenneth Harmon (Papaw), Joshua S. Tolbert (Uncle), Joseph Robert Tolbert (Great Grandfather), Ethel Pauline Tolbert (Great Grandmother).

Those left to cherish his memory are Sonya Lynn Harmon (Mother), Evelyn Harmon-Bentley (Mamaw, the woman he would say raised him), Brad Bowman (Step Father), Justin and Maddie Barnwell (Brother & Sister-in law), Christine Harmon (Sister), Hunter Bowman (Brother), Morgan & Tyler Shew (Sister & Brother-in Law), William Tolbert (Father), Billy Ray Tolbert (Brother), Pam Tolbert (Grandmother), Matthew Harmon, Marc Whitson, Kevin Bentley, Michael Harmon, Bobby Tolbert, Charlie Smith (Uncles), Michelle Harmon, Amy Sumerlin (Aunts), Andrew Harmon (Cousin), Ayden Barnwell, Leland Barnwell, Aiden Kindley, Nick Shew, Braxton Harmon-Munday, Jayden Munday (Nephews), Laney Shew (Baby Girl), Angela McDonald, Stella Munday (Niece).

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 12:00 PM with Preacher Shannon Harmon officiating.  A visitation will be held after the memorial service at Evans Funeral Service.

We are asking that everyone that loved and knew Travis wear a flannel shirt in remembrance and solidarity.
