Lenoir, NC- Tonia Davenport Simmons, age 36, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Tonia was born June 5, 1971 in Caldwell County. She is survived by her two daughters, Casey Simmons and Katie Simmons both of Lenoir; her mother, Pamela Elise McCarter of Lenoir; step-father, Cleve Locklear of Lenoir; her father, Tony Ray Davenport of Lenoir; her paternal Grandmother, Mattie Davenport of Lenoir; two sisters, Chasity Dula Triplett and husband Keith of Lenoir; Angela Parlier and husband Wayne of Lenoir; one Grandson, Casen Hunt of Lenoir and many Aunts, Cousins and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal Grandmother, Sister Pauline McCarter. A celebration of Tonia?s life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2007 at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Townsend and Reverend Johnny Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 until 11 AM, one hour prior to the service at Rock Creek Baptist Church. The family will be gathering at other times at the home of Keith and Chasity Triplett, 407 Main Street, SW in Lenoir. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Parlier, Cleve Locklear, Jr., Keith Triplett, Brandon Triplett, Tony Pritchard and Carter Dula. Memorials may be made to Rock Creek Baptist Church, 1250 Shew Hollar Rd.
