Tommy Pritchard

Tommy Pritchard, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on March 7, 1944 to the late Jack Pritchard, Sr. and Retha Wills Pritchard. He was married to Thelma Bumgarner Pritchard of the home.

Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Whitnel, where he formerly served as a Brotherhood Director, Sunday School teacher and an usher. Tommy was currently serving as a member of the Baton Water Board of Directors. His family was important to him and he loved spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Braswell Pritchard; second wife, Randa Cline Pritchard; infant son, Tommy Pritchard, Jr.; brothers, Jack Pritchard; Bill Pritchard; Curtis Pritchard; sisters, Helen Haynes; Ruth Johnson; Wanda Ritch; Betty Duncan; Daphney Weaver and Eleanor Hollar.

Other than his wife, Tommy is survived by his sons, Kevin Pritchard and wife, Jerrica; Cody Pritchard and wife, Angie; daughters, Cheryl Pritchard; Angie Brown and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Alston Brown; Miranda Pritchard; Summer Pritchard; sisters, Pat Parham and husband, Ray; Lora Davis and husband, Hobie; step-daughter, Heather Benfield; step-grandchildren, Mayson Benfield and Riley Benfield.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Whitnel on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12:00 with Pastor Stuart White and Pastor Steve Hedgecock officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
