Tom Parsons

Thomas Roby Parsons, 90, of Lenoir, NC went home to be with The Lord Friday November 30th, 2018 after a short stay at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Tom was a loving father and husband who loved golfing and spending time with his family. He was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church. Born May 14, 1928 to parents Mary and Roby Parsons, and surviving sister Shirley Hoover, husband Bob and Harry Parsons, wife Grace. Tom was a native of Caldwell County who graduated from Gamewell High School Class of 1947. After high school, Tom graduated from Dry Cleaning trade school in Maryland. He moved back to Lenoir and began a 45 year career in the dry cleaning business with his partner, Joe Hoyleand also his friend. Tom will be cherished and remembered by his loving wife, Eloise Parsons and his four children:son Richard A. Parsons, Joyce Carlton; son, T.David Parsons, wife Pamela; son, Michael R. Parsons, wife Cynthia; daughter, Martha A. Gilbert, husband Larry; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Chuck Brawley officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons; Aaron Parsons, Jamie Smith, Matthew Parsons, Thomas Parsons, Tryston Proffit, and Tyler Parsons.
