Timothy Lee Sweitzer

Mr. Timothy Lee Sweitzer, age 48, of Granite Falls passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home. Born September 25, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland, Timothy was a son of Gilmore and Nancy Owens Sweitzer.He was self employed and operated a heating and air business.He was an avid music lover and was known to do Karaoke.Timothy enjoyed computers, anything electronic, and collecting guns.Timothy was a graduate of the South Caldwell High School Class of 1987.He will be remembered as a gentle giant and all around fun guy.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Viola Meade Owens, and his paternal grandparents, Gilmore and Hazel Shafer Sweitzer. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a brother, Douglas Sweitzer (wife Peggy) of Statesville; a niece and nephew that he adored, Sydney and Dalton Sweitzer; he is also survived by numerous other relatives and many lifelong friends. A memorial service celebrating Timothy’s life will be held on Monday, June 25. 2018 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
