Timothy Philyaw

Timothy Alan Philyaw, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on March 8, 1969 to the late Doel Philyaw.

Tim was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker with things. He was mechanically talented and enjoyed working on lawn mowers and pretty much anything with an engine. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his honorary mother, Margaret West; daughter’s, Sarah Harding husband, DJ and their children, Colt Harding and Madison Harding; Ashley Eller and husband, Dustin.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Brian Auton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be David Oakes, Travis Barnes, John Paul West, Jason Smargian, John West and Garrett Smargian.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
