Lenoir- Timmy Gray Williams, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on July 22, 1953 to the late Harry and Thelma Williams.He was married for 47 years to Evelyn Holsclaw Williams of the residence. Timmy was a wonderful husband, Dad, and PawPaw and was truly a one of a kind. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division. He retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries after 36 years of service. He was a faithful and active member at Temple Baptist Church. Timmy loved to spend time with his family, fish and he never missed an opportunity to watch his kids and grandkids play sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Tony Williams. Other than his wife, his is survived by his daughters, Dawn Ollis and husband, Bobby; Misty Matheson and husband, Mark; sons, Timmy Williams, Jr. and Tommy Williams and wife, Leslie; step-mother, Goldie Nelson; brothers, Terry Williams and Michael Williams; sister, Tina McQueen; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with one due at any time; and numerous other family members. A celebration of Timmy’s life will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Joel Bixler officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Caleb Marshall, Montaga Matheson, Justin Williams, Keith Triplett, Brendan Andrews and Joey Keller. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
