Tim Kincaid

Lenoir - E.A. Tim Kincaid, age 73, died on April 9, 2011 following a short period of declining health. He was born on August 25, 1937 in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late George Huitt Kincaid and Maude McRary Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid served in the U.S. Army for 3 yrs. and obtained rank of Spec. 4 and later served in the National Guard for 3 years. He was a member of Hartland Baptist Church for 54 years where he served as teacher, deacon, choir director, sang with The Hartland Five group, played and coached church softball for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Howard C. Kincaid of Gamewell, and Charles Edward Kincaid of Gamewell; his sister Judith K. Craig of Granite Falls; and sister Druscilla K. Adams of Knoxville, TN. Survivng are his wife of 50 years, JoAnne Buckner Kincaid; one son, Timothy Bryan Kincaid and wife Janet of Morganton; one daughter, Kimberly (Cissy) Kincaid Goble of Lenoir; a grandson, Cody Bryan Kincaid of Morganton; and a granddaughter, Jodi Ann Brittain of Lenoir; two brothers; Ralph A. Kincaid and wife Alma of Hudson and Richard D. Kincaid and wife Evelyn of Gamewell; one sister, Mary Katherine Bryant of Lenoir; also a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Hartland Baptist Church with Reverend Matthew Grindstaff and Reverend Clyde J. Buckner. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
