Lenoir, NC- Mr. Timothy Lawrence Grant, age 54, of Lenoir, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 17th at his residence. Born on October 17, 1962 to Gail LaDue Grant and the late David R. Grant. He attended College Avenue Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member of Wake New Hope Fire Department of Raleigh until his relocation to Lenoir. He loved life and never met a stranger, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He had many hobbies, including cooking pigs, raising horses, camping and traveling the 50 states. His latest adventure was the owner/operator of Green Mountain Market and Creamery inside the Green Mountain RV Resort here in Lenoir, with the help of his family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Setzer Grant of the home; his children, Richard Grant (wife Jessica) of Wake Forest, Amanda Grant Page (husband Chad) of Rolesville, NC, Evan Bumgarner (wife Jade) of Euless, Texas, Jenna Bumgarner of Boone, Marie Saunders and Tristan Saunders of the home. He is also survived by three brothers, Steve Grant, Larry Grant (wife Nancy) and David Grant, Jr. (wife Carrie) and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Tim’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 3:00 PM at College Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.
