Thomas Victor White

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Thomas Victor White, age 90, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born June 9, 1920 in Caldwell County, Mr. White was a son of the late Fred and Ada Auton White. Mr. White was a member of Union Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed upholsterer. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Mae White; 2 brothers, Gaither and Edwin White and 3 sisters, Blanche Triplett, Hillian Bumgarner and Ellen Hollar. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Hava Miller White, of the home; 4 daughters, Marcelle Halsey of Cornelius; Wanda Moffett and husband Ben of Mooresville; Leslie Smith and husband Larry of Lenoir and Rogene Jones and friend Bill Street of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by two sisters, Beulah Reid and Lois Shore, both of Lenoir; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Graveside service for Mr. White will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Myron Davis and Reverend Van Profit officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory of Lenoir. Pallbearers will be Mr. White?s Grandsons.
