Thomas Justin Setzer

Lenoir, NC- Thomas Justin Setzer, age 78, of Lenoir, died Friday, December 5, 2008 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born June 15, 1930 in Caldwell County, Mr. Setzer was a son of the late William Grude and Mamie Hodge Setzer and the husband of Juanita Bush Setzer of the home. Mr. Setzer was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from Singer Furniture in management, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and had a true passion for golf. Surviving other than his wife is his son, Keith Setzer and wife Kim of Lenoir; 2 daughters, Teresa Mozo of Jacksonville, FL; Dawn Gordon and husband Steve of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Allison Price, Heather Bolick, Dustin Helton, Cameron Helton, Madison Setzer, Baylee Gordon and 2 great-grandchildren, Lucas Price and Joshua Price; one niece, Brenda Warren, two nephews, Tony and Freddie Setzer and his mother-in-law, Hazel Bush of Lenoir. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Reginald Setzer, one sister, Suma Setzer and one brother, Stanfred Setzer. A celebration of Mr. Setzer?s life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2008 at Lower Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Braswell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, 1 until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Keith Setzer, Steve Gordon, Dustin Helton, Cameron Helton, Max Woods and Terry Price.
