Thomas Nathaniel Hendrix, age 75, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.He was born October 29, 1946 in Long Island, NY to the late Thomas JP Hendrix and Bernice Jones Hendrix.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Hendrix, Jr.; grandson, Xavier Shell; sister, Dorothy Hackett; and brother, Jerry Hendrix. Survivors include his wife Brenda Hendrix; daughters, Danixa Hendrix and Chandra White; step-son, Chantry Powell; grandchildren, Christopher Hendrix, Jadakiss Hendrix, Jayquan Hendrix, Amarion Jordan, Azyah Jordan, Javonne Shell, Trinity Hendrix, Xzavian Hendrix, Brendan Jordan, and Dakota Powell; three great-grandchildren, Z’Niyah Jordan, Amarion Jordan, Jr., and Neyuar Shade. Thomas was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to tell stories from growing up.He was an avid outdoorsman who taught his grandkids how to swim, fish, and shoot guns.
