Lenoir, NC- Mr. Thomas Henry Craig, age 76, of Lenoir, died Monday, January 14, 2008 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born April 2, 1931 in Caldwell County, Mr. Craig was a son of the late Benjamin and Mary Lou Kincaid Craig and the husband of Martha Curtis Craig of the home, to whom he had been married for 51 years. Mr. Craig was a retired truck driver and a member of West Lenoir Baptist Church. Surviving other than his wife is his son, Tommy Craig and wife Lynn of Hickory; one grandson, Benjamin Curtis Craig of Lenoir; one step-grandson, Cole Starnes of Hickory and three sisters, Mamie Kendall of Herford, TX; Dorothy Queen of Hickory and Helen Herman of Lenoir. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters; Egbert, John, Clara, Rachel, Virginia and Ann. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at West Lenoir Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. James Lockee; Reverend Q.T. Curtis; Reverend Buddy Smith and Reverend Bryan Gragg officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at West Lenoir Baptist Church on Wednesday from 2 until 3 PM, one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Eddie Carswell, Kelly Ford, Lyle Ford, Stan Ford, Darrell Herman, Doug Campbell, Damon Clay and Gary Curtis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Sullivan, Dick Braswell, Harold Houck, Gerald ?Pee Wee? Houck, Jerry Coffey, Joe Cooke, Sonny Mikeal, Roger Register, Paul Woods, Joe Greer, Sammy Moore and Doug Price.
