Thomas Bowman

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Thomas Charles Bowman, Sr., age 94, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. He was the 13th of 16 children born to the late Lawrence Bowman and wife, Maggie Bowman of Caldwell County. Mr. Bowman was an Army Veteran having served his country during World War II. His life-long career was spent in construction. He was a loving and caring husband and father and a wonderful Pawpaw to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Esther Moses Bowman; one sister, Glennie Mae Bowman McNeill; five children, Dianne B. Holsclaw and husband, Terry; Teresa B. Rader and husband, Jack; Tom Bowman, Jr. and wife, Pam; Susan Bowman and Charles Bowman; seven grandchildren, Sharon Holsclaw, Greg Holsclaw, Scott Rader, Mark Rader, Ashlee Bowman, Ross Bowman, Chad Bowman, and Josh Bowman; and several great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mr. Bowman will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service and Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Clifton Black officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
