Thomas Ralston Baker

Lenoir – Thomas “Tom” Ralston Baker, Jr., age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on September 24, 1955 to Elda Johnson Baker and the late Thomas Ralston Baker, Sr. Tom was an avid reader, especially history, and he loved to sing. He enjoyed keeping a beautiful yard. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers with his daughter, Caroline and watching his favorite baseball team, the Detroit Tigers, with his son and father. Tom loved to go to the beach and see the ocean. Other than his mother, he is survived by his children, Carrie Baker Bartley; Andrew Baker and wife, Kelley; and Caroline Baker; sister, Candace Baker Poarch; grandchildren, Marcus Bumgardner and Hannah Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center at Central Baptist Church on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.
