Mrs. Theresa Louise Thomas, age 56, of Hudson passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Born October 2, 1962 in Wheeling, West Virginia.Theresa was a daughter of the late Lou and Wilda Brinkmeier.Theresa was a strong, loving and caring wife to her husband Bill and devoted mother to her son Justin.Theresa was a longtime volunteer at Burke County Friends For Animals and provided years of foster care for many pets in need.Theresa was a strong supporter of her son’s passions, acting as band booster volunteer coordinator and becoming a lover of theatrical art.She enjoyed many family vacations at the beach and Disney World, sister weekends, biking, hiking, kayaking and of course shopping.Theresa was known to have lunch at Sam’s Sampler counters as a Sunday special, pick up a jumbo Coke slushie and curl up in a fleece blanket while enjoying a Hallmark Channel marathon.Theresa was a dedicated, loyal and reliable employee of MDI for over 20 years.She will be remembered by many for her loving, caring and generous spirit, quiet strength, quick wit and wonderful subtle humor. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William “Bill” Thomas of the home; her son, Justin Thomas; her five sisters and two brothers; her fur babies Padmae, Carrie Lee, and Sparrow; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Theresa’s life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Thurman Roe officiating.
