Thelma Elizabeth Tugman

Thelma Elizabeth Tugman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Lenoir Health Care Center.

She was born December 15, 1947 to the late Lee Roy and Claudia Elizabeth Tugman. She was preceded in death by two sisters Martha T. Brown and Norma Jean Tugman, brothers Bynum and Samuel McKinley Tugman, and niece, Elizabeth Annzonette Brown; nephew, Ken Tugman.

Thelma was a loving, kind, sweet, and caring sister. She was a graduate from Happy Valley High School and Caldwell Community College as a CNA, EMT, and Medical Secretary for 25 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Alice Tugman Gilreath, and brother, James A. Tugman. Nephews Jonathan A. Tugman, Jamie A. Tugman, Jimmy Lamar Tugman and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm at The Life Center conducted by Reverend Terry Hunt.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00-3:00 pm.

Interment will follow the service at Bushtown Cemetery.
