Thelma "Maggie" Magdalene Brown Anderson

Thelma Magdaline Brown Anderson, 88, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, August 10, 2024, at her home in Lenoir, NC.  She was born January 10, 1936, to the late Lonnie and Clancy Williams.

She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother.  She loved having her family around her.  She also loved watching and listening to the Gaither family gospel music.  She could be found praising the Lord as the beautiful songs filled the room.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Ernest Brown; son, Reverend Terry Eugene Brown; daughter, Edith Brown Williams; sisters, Willa Mae Williams Mclean, Mary Williams Howell; brother, Jim Williams, all of Lenoir, NC.

Thelma which was known as (Maggie) to many, is survived by her husband, Donald P. Anderson; daughters, Louise Brown Honeycutt (David), Judy Brown Hollar (Floyd); grandchildren, Tammy Queen (Paul), Jody Hollar (Amanda), Jason Hollar (Rita), Tangela Parker (Eric), Sonya Miller (Travis), Reverend Ernest Brown (Keisha), Ytonia Taylor (Kevin); step children, David Anderson (Sheila), Donald Anderson, Jr (Wanda), Harold Anderson, Joe Anderson (Beth), Johnny Anderson, and Maria Keeter (Daniel).  She was blessed with numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and step grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Living Hope Church of Lenoir, 1890 Connelly Springs Road, NC 28645 on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bill Bentley, Reverend Jason Collins, and Reverend Tammy Queen officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  Burial will the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 1545 Orchard Drive, Lenoir, NC 28645.

Serving as pallbearers are Jody Hollar, Jason Hollar, David Maxon, Hunter Whisnant, Tommy Booth, and Nathan Brown.

The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Amorem Hospice.
