Terry Chester Laws

Lenoir- Terry Chester Laws, age 72, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Iredell County on April 11, 1948 to the late Charlie and Pearl Eckard Chester. Terry worked in the furniture industry for most of her work career. She was a member of Mountain Grove Church. She lived at Koinonia Apartments where her energy and zest for life was felt among many of her friends, as well as the staff there. She lent her time and passion for helping others with whatever needed to be done. Terry loved animals, especially her little chihuahua, Lilly, who kept everyone entertained at the gazebo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Minton. Terry is survived by her daughters, Tracie and Kristie Laws; sisters, Sherry Pilkenton and Linda Shew; her brother, Ronnie Chester; and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service for Terry will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
