Terry Lee Kanupp

Hudson – Terry Lee Kanupp, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Catawba County on February 8, 1961 to Kay Kanupp and the late Jesse Kanupp. He was married to Peggy Seagle Kanupp of the residence for 36 years.

Terry was an avid bowler and served in different capacities within various bowling leagues. He loved his family and was a proud Papaw of four grandchildren. Terry was a business owner and always went above and beyond to help those in need.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Kanupp, Jr. and his sister, Revonda Young.

Other than his wife and mother, Terry is survived by his daughter, Shannon Banks (Clif); son, Brandon Kanupp (Lauren); brothers, Harold and Mark Kanupp; grandchildren, Chloe and Sadie Brooke Banks; and Holden and Finley Kanupp.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Nicky Waters officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hibriten Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church from 5:00 until 6:30 PM.
