Terry Wayne Greene

Lenoir - On April 12, 2014, the heavenly angels sang praises as Terry Wayne Greene, age 52 of Lenoir, entered the gates to meet his personal Savior Jesus Christ. There to meet him with outstretched arms was his beloved wife, Judy Price Greene. Born June 28, 1961 to the late Ralph and Pauline Greene, he was also preceded in death by his wife Judy Price Greene of 15 years, his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Dorothea Greene, his maternal grandparents, Ivey and Lora Craig, his brothers Roger Greene, Marshall Greene Sr., and father-in-law Paul Price. Terry is survived by a daughter, Melissa Greene King and husband Todd, of Gamewell, a son, Jarrett Greene and wife Lacy, of Lenoir, a sister Victoria Greene Maness and husband Bruce, two brothers Ronnie Greene and wife Lorrie, Danny Greene and Donna, mother-in-law, Barbara Lowe Price, all of Lenoir and two brother-in-laws, Larry Price and wife Joyce, of Collettsville and Eric Price and wife Stephanie of Glen Alpine. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren, Hailey and Caleb King, and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was a faithful member of Harrisburg Baptist Church, where he enjoyed serving the Lord and playing for the church softball team. He also enjoyed other numerous activities such as fishing, gardening, going to flea markets, and festivals. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing, Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, and the Cincinnati Reds. He never met a stranger and always wore a smile. Terry had a variety of jobs including; Broyhill Furniture Industries, Singer Furniture Company, Hammary Furniture Company, and currently employed by Adult and Pediatrics Specialist. Terry especially enjoyed the friendships he developed with his patients. A celebration of Terry̢۪s life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Harrisburg Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Harris, Ted Williams, and Jarrett Greene officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 at Evans Funeral Service from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
