Teresa Lynn St. John

Taylorsville, NC- Ms. Teresa Wilson St. John, age 52, of Taylorsville passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at her home. Born January 19, 1966 in Burke County, Teresa was a daughter of the late Rev. Coye and Martha Fox Wilson.She worked many years as an assistant teacher with the Caldwell County school system.She was Baptist by faith and a child of the one true GOD, a member of Gateway Baptist Church.She also enjoyed singing and worshiping her Lord. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Levan; her second mother, Geanette St. John, and numerous other family members. Survivors include her children, Daughter Chelsey St. John Bartley and husband Garen of Taylorsville, Daughter Keira Brown of Hudson, Son Ryan St. John and wife Ashleyof Hudson; her grandchildren, Eden Brown, Nevaeh Brown, Hayden Brown, Hunter St. John, Natalie St. John and Ava St. John all of Hudson; her brother, Coy Wilson Jr. of Icard; a sister, Pat Mikeal of Hickory; Adopted daughters/nieces Samantha Crouch and April Harris, an aunt Shirley Vanhorne; her beloved pet Tinker; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Gateway Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Harris and Pastor Jerome Walker officiating.Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Tomblin, Brandon Crouch, Steve English, Tommy Coomer, Johnny Wilson, Thurman Vanhorne and Mike Smith.
