Ted Rodney White

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Ted Rodney White, age 68, of Sheriffs Road, Lenoir, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at his home. Born March 30, 1943 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late W. Gaither and Mary “Bettie” Walker White. Mr. White was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was a self-employed farmer and owner of Ted’s Used Cars. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Walker and Robert “Bob” White. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary “Betty” White McQueen and husband Danny and Teresa Loretta White, both of Lenoir; one brother, “Frank” Charles White and wife Loreane of Hudson; sisters, Lillie Mae White Hollar of Lenoir; Doris White Townsend and husband Ralph of Connelly Springs; Shirley White Daves of Lenoir; Jeanette White Teague and husband Glenn and Mary Ellen White. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jessica Haigler Munoz and husband Adam of Washington; Krista Haigler-McQueen, Kamerin McQueen, Pashence Johnson and Coty White all of Lenoir, one great-grandson, Gabriel John Munoz of Washington; special friends, Ralph and Barbara White Pitts and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Bethel Advent Christian Church in the Draco Community with Reverend Horace Minton and Reverend Tony Brakefield officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service in the sanctuary of Bethel Advent Christian Church.
