Ted Louis Butler

Ted Louis Butler, age 75, of Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville.He was born December 16, 1942 in Caldwell County to the late Henry and Maude Roberts Butler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, brother William “Bill” Butler, and a sister, Colene Tursini. Ted was retired from Butler Brothers Electric and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.He proudly served our county as a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Cloer Butler of the home; daughters, Shelia Kirby (Mike), Karen Parsons (Robbie), Amy Williams (Kris); sons, Jeff Triplett (Maria), Chris Triplett (Chassidy); grandchildren, Josh Kirby (Stephanie), Jeremy Kirby, Katie Kirby, Brandon Parsons (Crystal), Casey Parsons, Brooklynn Williams, Garrett Williams, Bailey Kirkland (Ryan), John Hamby, Trey Triplett, Graham Triplett, McKinzie Jurney, and Maggie Triplett; great grandchildren, McKenzie Hoyle, Eli Kirby, Leah Parsons, Jenna Parsons, Hadley Parsons, and Easton Hamby; and brother-in-law, Gary Cloer. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Union Grove Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Sam Craven.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.Full military honors will be provided by the United States National Guard and Caldwell County Honor Guard.
