T. Doyle Pritchard

Hickory, NC- Mr. T. Doyle Pritchard, age 69, of Hickory, went to sing with the Heavenly Choir Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born December 13, 1937 in Caldwell County, Mr. Pritchard was a son of the late Arlie Bright and Katherine Lutz Pritchard and the husband of the late Brenda Graham Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard was a member of Winkler?s Grove Baptist Church and retired from Kincaid Furniture. He had a special love for Gospel music which found him singing in church at the age of 13. He sang with the Pritchard Trio, The Samaritan?s and the Winkler?s Grove Quartet. He is survived by two daughters, Belita Miller and husband Mark and Terrie Lynn Shoemaker and husband Gary all of Lenoir; one son, Christopher Graham of the home; 2 brothers, Barry Pritchard and Jerry Pritchard and wife Jan, all of Lenoir; 3 sisters, Georgia Ellis, Nina Clark and Anita Bolick all of Lenoir; 4 Grandchildren, Amber M. Duggins and husband Luke of Knightdale; Matthew and Nathan Miller and Tyler Bruce all of Lenoir and his Special Friend, Carolyn Cooke and Family and a number of nieces and nephews. Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty June Pritchard and 2 brothers, Neal and Eugene Pritchard. A celebration of Mr. Pritchard?s life will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Winkler?s Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Faulkenbury and Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 6 until 8 PM at Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir and at other times at the home of Jerry and Jan Pritchard, 895 Pine Mountain Road in Hudson. Pallbearers will be: Dean Leonhardt, Terry Hollar, Matthew Miller, Nathan Miller, Mark Miller and Gary Shoemaker.
