Sylvia Jean Winkler

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Sylvia ?Jean? Dula Winkler, age 69, of Lenoir, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at her home. Born April 3, 1941 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Baxter and Julah Victoria Nelson Dula. Mrs. Winkler was a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and softball where she loved to pitch. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Dula, her second husband, Cecil Winkler; one son, John Clayton Dula; 2 sisters, Betty Jo Shew and Pauline Mask; two brothers, Junior Dula and Otis Dula and one grandson, Brandon Dula. She is survived by 3 daughters, Janice Hamby and husband Jerry; Juanita Dula and Julah Fleenor all of Lenoir; 2 sons, Jerry Dula and John Dula and wife Janice all of Lenoir; 2 sisters, Billie Sue Watson and husband Scott of Lenoir; Nina Brewington of Spartanburg, SC; one brother, Harvey Dula of Lenoir; 7 grandchildren, Steven Dula, April Annas, Lane Hamby, Afton Tallent, Paige Fleenor, Aaron ?Hootie? Fleenor, Hunter Dula and Christina Harrin and 8 great-grandchildren, Levi Annas, Lacey Annas, Alana Hamby, Jakob Dula, Landon Tallent, Gage Land, Makenna Tallent, Jaycei Rae Tallent and numerous other relatives and friends. A graveside service for Mrs. Winkler will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Green Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lane Hamby and Reverend Charles Keever officiating.
