Sue Smith Walker

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Sue S. Walker, age 68, of Lenoir, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born December 13, 1939 in Burke County, Mrs. Walker was a daughter of the late William Luke and Dorothy Causby Smith and the wife of Gary Walker of the home. Other than her husband, she is survived by one brother, Hubert Smith and wife Edith of Morganton; one sister, Myrtle Poteat and husband David of Lenoir, a special niece, Vickie Franklin of Lenoir and a number of nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Smith and one sister, Flora Kate Riddle. A celebration of Mrs. Walker?s life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor James Ritch officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
