Steven Barry Vermillion

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Steven Barry Vermillion, age 51, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Lenoir Health Care Center. Born April 28, 1961, in Caldwell County, Steven was a son of Martin Gilbert and Connie Smith Vermillion of Lenoir. Steven was a member of the Colliers United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing sports, being outdoors and fishing. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Lucy Vermillion and Clarence and Mary Smith; and two uncles, Hal Gene Smith and Lamont Vermillion. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by two brothers and sisters in law, Greg and Carolyn Vermillion of Lenoir, and Carson and Julie Vermillion of Johnson City, TN; three nephews, Grayson, Brady and Aiden Vermillion of Johnson City, TN; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be held for Steven on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Colliers United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverend Lori Ann Bowen and Reverend Joe Parker. Interment will follow the service in the Colliers United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
